How PSYCH-K®works

Your personality is defined by your beliefs.

Whether you feel worthy or worthless, powerful or powerless, loved or hated, your beliefs define you and have far-reaching consequences, both positive and negative. Your moods, job performance, self-esteem, relationships, health, even your religious or spiritual outlook are affected by your beliefs.

It is imperative that we know how to change beliefs that are limiting us into beliefs that empower us. That’s what PSYCH-K® is all about! To help us better understand how to identify and change beliefs, it is important to know a little about how the brain works.

Brain Dominance theory and split-brain research

There has been a great deal of research conducted on what has come to be called “Brain Dominance” Theory (also known as split-brain research). The results of this research point out that each hemisphere of the cerebral cortex tends to specialize in different functions, process different kinds of information, and deal with different kinds of problems. 



The left hemisphere is logical, analytical, uses reasoning, thinks in words, is time-bound, extroverted, thinks sequentially, is orderly, and controlled. 


The right hemisphere is emotional, intuitive, creative, thinks in pictures, is time-free, introverted, spontaneous, and thinks holistically.

While our natural state has the inherent ability to simultaneously utilize both sides of the cerebral cortex, life experiences often trigger a dominance of one side over the other when responding to specific situations. When the experience is emotionally charged, it is more likely to be stored for future reference. Consequently, it is more likely we will automatically over-identify with only one hemisphere when encountering similar life experiences in the future. 



Your beliefs create your reality. These beliefs, usually subconscious, are typically the result of lifelong “programming” and exert a powerful influence on human behavior. Neuroscience studies indicate that at least 95% of our consciousness is actually subconscious! These subconscious beliefs “direct” our observable actions and behaviors even though we may be mostly unaware of their influence on us. They form the foundation for our actions and reactions to every new situation in our lives.

It may seem disturbing that these self-limiting subconscious beliefs are a reflection of our reality. It may seem even more disturbing that subconscious beliefs actually help design that reality. Changing those self-limiting beliefs into self-empowering ones can help create a new, more desirable reality. 

Whole-Brained State

“Data suggests the brain has the ability to reorganize brainwave energy, creating the Whole-Brain State, and thus allowing for more optimal performance of subconscious belief patterns. When a person is in a Whole-Brain State, they are using both hemispheres together. This is a state of coherency in the brain that allows for maximum communication/data flow between the right and left halves. What’s a balance?


A Balance is a process used to create a whole-brained state around the beliefs you currently operate with, and the experiences that have created those beliefs. When we’re not operating from a whole-brained state, we make decisions based on limiting beliefs. 


When we “change our minds” by overwriting the limiting beliefs with supporting beliefs, we are able to access more of our brain function. When you access more of your brain function, it is easier to adhere to a diet, get to work on time, stay organized, remain calm during confrontation, be more creative, create more money for yourself, overcome migraines, eliminate allergies…

There’s no limit to the number of things you can create whole-brained state for. Even in cases of extreme illness or trauma, we can create peace or eliminate fear to have a higher quality of life.

The way you do this is by becoming aware of those limitations and beliefs that have been limiting you. 

Believing you are not worthy is NOT true.
Believing you don't deserve love is NOT true.

Believing abundance is NOT easy is NOT true.
